 (AFR:) Laphroaig QA Cask, 40%“First maturation is in ex-bourbon barrels, followed by transfer to charred American white oak casks (Quercus Alba in Latin). This second intense maturation creates a blend of peat smoke balanced with warm, spicy vanilla notes.” |
 (CPE:) Tullibardine 228 Burgundu Finish, 43%“The nose features charred oak, vanilla, milk chocolate, Turkish delight and mild, sweet chilli.” |
 (FAN:) 33.128 (SMWS) 64,6%“The initial nose suggested burnt straw and potatoes combined with tarry smoke from an oil-drum fire –also leather (saddles, sofas), pine, rum-soaked fruits and coconut macaroons.” |
 (HGU:)The Glenturret 10, 40%“The palate is fruity and rich with thick sweetness and well-balanced oaked tannins. A touch of cut hay and a little earthen notes.” |
 (HHG:) Highland Park Leif Eriksson, 40%“Nose: Spicy and sweet, floral, perfumed and malty, vanilla fudge and oak. Applewood and chocolate orange. Palate: Vanilla and nectarine, juicy fruit, popcorn and heather, a ting of gentle woodsmoke.” |
 (HHM:) Aberlour a’bunadh, 59,7% batch (?)“Karaktärsfull, kryddig smak med viss rökighet, inslag av fat, apelsinskal, choklad och torkade frukter.” |
 (AWC:) Springbank Port Wood, 48,7% (SWF-17)“Springbanks legendariske destillerichef Frank McHardy har valt ut några intressanta fatprover för SWF och där valet föll på en Springbank 2000 Port Wood som lagrats hela sin livslängd på en Port Pipe” |
